Catnip is starting to open a few flowers.
Colonies of Bouncing Bet paint roadsides with clusters of pink or white reflexed petaled blossoms.
In the woods, the nodding waxy flowers and white patterned deep green leaves of Spotted Wintergreen thrive in deep shade.
And an unexpected visitor, a half grown Praying Mantis, seemed to view human hands as a suitable substrate from which to hunt.
