Last night moths called Kent's Geometers were flying. These rather uncommon moths have the wing shape, posture and coloration of anglewing butterflies.
Tall White Violets AKA Canadian Violets are in flower. A purplish wash on the back of the petals makes them easy to identify.
The nicely marked green moth known familiarly as 'The Joker' is airborne.
And a tiny black and white Grapevine Epimenis moth shows the orange flashpoints on its hindwing.
