5-13
Today a rather spiky yellow and black caterpillar - perhaps that of a Virginia Ctenuchid moth - was out wandering.
Tender new grass growth lured a porcupine out to the edge of my field.
And the tiny whitish flowers of Mountain Holly were open. Look for this shrub in cool boggy places.
