6-10 White Beardtongue, Black-eyed Susan, Common Milkweed, Meadowsweet, Fritillaries

 6-10

White Beardtongue can be seen in fields and along the edges of woods.

Black-eyed Susans are common in open places.

Fields and roadsides are home to Common Milkweed.

Moist or rocky soil is favored by Meadowsweet.

And a swarm of Fritillaries puddled on coffee grounds at my compost heap. The common name of this butterfly species is Aphrodite. Its larval host plants are violets.
