Golden-backed Snipe Flies have emerged. Snip Flies are predatory and some species bite humans.
Last night, Silver-spotted Fern moths were airborne and - as the name implies - the larval host plants of the species are ferns.
And the rather sparse and straggly flowering of Nipplewort is underway.
