A single whorl of 5 to 10 leaves and white star shaped flowers with 5 to 9 petals make Star-flower easy to identify.
Star Flowered Solomon's Seal is also in flower as is False Solomon's Seal.
Pearly Crescentspot and Juvenal's (?) Duskywing butterflies were both out in large numbers.

  1. Nice photos ! Enjoying your posts as always. I think that the Juvenal's Duskywing is a Dreamy Duskywing. The Juvenal's has a chain of spots on the forewing (FW) with another FW spot midway closer to the body. The Dreamy Duskywing, which this looks to be to me, has FW silver 'wrists' and long palps, gray rings on its body. This is a great example of it. Thanks for posting. Wish I were seeing it too.
