In the North East corner of town Squaw Root's flowers have wilted and seed bearing fruits have formed.
Among the moths flying last night were the Walnut Sphinx and the Hog Sphinx.
And Winter Berry is in flower. Also known as Black Alder, this shrub holds its brilliant scarlet berries long into the winter.
