Tall wands of bright yellow flowers mark Woodland Agrimony, a plant of thickets and shady roadsides.
Waxy nodding white flowers and striped leaves make identifying Spotted Wintergreen a breeze. Statewide Spotted Wintergreen is listed as rare or unusual.
And a nicely patterned Bee Fly - Anthrax analis - posed nicely for a picture. Larvae of this fly are parasitic on the larvae of Tiger beetles.
