Along the riverbanks Fringed Loosestrife and Canadian Burnet are flowering.
The heavily scented flowers of Basswood are also open. I find their scent oppressive but Honey Bees find them irresistible.
And last night, a little moth with a big name - the Polymorphic Pondweed moth - came to my lights. As its name implies, aquatic plants are this species larval host.
