Variegated leaves and nodding waxy flowers make Spotted Wintergreen easy to identify. When tipped up, the flowers look a bit as if they were designed by a kindergarten class.
Water Lobelia has put up its sparse flowers above standing water.
A Camouflage Looper - a caterpillar that covers its back with pieces of flower petal - fed on a Black-eyed Susan. It's the larva of a Wavy-lined Emerald Moth.
