5-14 Hawthorn

5-14
Hawthorns are in flower. There are many varieties of hawthorn and exact identification is difficult. This one is infested with tent caterpillars.
Wild Sarsaparilla's globular flower clusters are opening florettes. Most have three flower clusters. This one has a fourth.
And Clintonia, AKA Bluebead Lily, is opening flowers - all of which will eventually be nodding.
