Pale Touch-me-not, a plant of damp calcerous soils, is in flower.
Pokeweed is also opening flowers. The young shoots of Pokeweed are edible, but the root and possibly the berries are poisonous.
ANd the pale lilac flowers of Wild Mint cluster in the leaf axils of the plant. Its crushed leaves give off a strong smell of mint.
