In thickets and along riverbanks Groundnut's racemes of purplish-brown heavily scented flowers dangle and drape.
The egg shaped leaflets and pale lilac flowers of Hog Peanut trail and climb through drier weed patches.'Wild Mint is having its day. Clusters of little lilac flowers in the leaf axils, stems and a strong smell of mint from bruised leaves make this plant simple to identify.
And an Arcigera Flower moth (Shinia arcigera) poses patiently for its picture. Asters are the host plant for the larvae of this handsome moth.
