A Pearly Wood-Nymph moth - and its window glass mirror image - wait out the daylight hours. Larval host plants for this species are Evening Primrose, Grape, Hibiscus and Virginia Creeper.
Hairy Bush Clover - a state listed rare species is opening a few flowers. Leaflets of this clover are silvery underneath.
Hog Peanut is also in flower. Its flowers can be lilac, pale purple or white. Hog Peanut also produces tiny petal-less flowers near the ground that produce single seeded pods. It is commonly seen climbing on other plants.
