A Straight-lined Plagodis moth is resplendent in rich browns and purples.
A moth called The Scribbler is described as "whitish overlaid with a dense pattern of crisp wavy black lines intermixed with bands of mint green." This one, however, is a rarer gray form.
Common cinquefoil is starting to dot fields and lawns with gold.
And last night Toads were on the move headed to water to mate. Their high-pitched trilling could be heard along the West River this morning.
