Purslane, a plant of gardens and waste places, is not native to this region.
Catnip is another alien found in waste places and old home sites.
Meadows and shores are home to the native Marsh Bellflower.
And, on Black-eyed Susans, Weevils feed hungrily. There are about 3,000 species of weevil in North America.
