Prairie Ringlets are among the butterfly species emerging.
Ox-eye Daisies dance above meadows and roadsides.
And both Ruffed Grouse and Wild Turkey hens are trailing galaxies of downy poults. The turkey poults pictured froze when I startled the hen and were still in place when I left.
