4-29 Canada Violets are flowering in rich woods. This violet often flowers again in the fall.
Dog Violets color meadows and low woods.
And, this morning, a male Hummingbird visited my feeder. Last year my earliest sighting was on 5-2! John

Common Blue Violets, which may be either blue or white, often colonize lawns.

Wild Ginger is opening a few of its carrion-colored, ground-hugging flowers.

And, on my back lawn, an egg, proof that nesting season is getting underway!
